This RARE and highly interesting chart shows the political border of the Philippines right after the Treaty of Paris. It shows that the shoals and islands of the West Philippine (South China) Sea including the Scarborough Shoal are NOT part of the Philippines – the blunder committed by the protagonists then, which would be corrected later in the Treaty of Washington.
