First French translation of this very popular work on the Pacific, the most important early source on the Pelew or Palau Islands in Micronesia. The first English edition was published in the same year. With the famous Palau Map which includes the entire Philippine Archipelago including shoals and islands of the West Philippine Sea, currently under dispute.
