Birds of Asia featured some of the most vibrant varieties of birds to be found around the world due to the wide reaching natural fauna of the expansive geographical region. From the text: “Allotrius melanotis is an inhabitant of the little-known countries of Nepal and Bhutan; in the former of which countries the specimens contained in the collection of the Honourable East India Company were obtained by Mr. Hodgson.”
