RARE map from ‘Historische Beschryving de Reizen …’, Dutch edition of the Prevost Voyages “Histoire générale des voyages”, published first in Paris, 1746. Bellin based this engraving on the manuscript watercolour plate no. 60 ‘De Stadt Manilha’ (45 x 64 cm.) of the Johannes Vingboon Atlas [c. 1660] which contained 107 finely coloured maps, plans and panoramic views of the area covered by the charter of the VOC – Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie.
