4 of a set of 16 UNCOMMON collection trade cards, depicting photos on the Philippine Scenes, part of a series of “Luxus Sonderwerke” – or special luxuriously made-up sets.
Titles are in German, French and Italian language.
A special advertising measure for consumer goods of various kinds was the addition of collection points.
The three big publishers were the Poly Bilderdienst and the Gloria Verlag from Switzerland and the Penny Verlag from Germany,. They flourished between 1969 and 1978 when more than 100 million image series were delivered and also a corresponding number of albums.
The editions of each album varied between 10,000 to 150,000 copies
